Some conditions require a diagnosis in our clinic and a referral to a retina specialist. These common conditions include age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and torn retinas.

According to the National Eye Institute, as we age, cataracts become very common, with more than half of people 80-years or older having cataracts or having had surgery to remove them. Aspen Valley Hospital is pleased to be one of the only medical centers in the Mountain West to offer implantable light adjustable lenses in cataract surgery. Light Adjustable Lens™ technology by RxSight is an advanced cataract surgery technology that allows for extremely precise custom vision correction in the clinic following surgery.

Ophthalmologists can fine tune vision to each patient’s lifestyle after the lenses are implanted.
