Dr. Emily Misch is an otolaryngologist who specializes in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, and she joined the medical staff at Aspen Valley Hospital in 2023. Dr. Misch earned her medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago in 2016, and completed her residency in 2021 at University of Colorado Hospital, Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. She then spent a year training with renowned New York City surgeon Dr. Andrew Jacano through a fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). She currently serves on the AAFPRS Young Physicians Committee. Dr. Misch is board-certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Before studying medicine, she completed a Masters in Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta. She has participated in numerous studies and co-authored papers that have been published in peer-reviewed medical publications, primarily in her specialty but also in public health. Dr. Misch performs all aspects of cosmetic facial plastic surgery – facelifts, neck lifts, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery and otoplasty, as well Mohs surgery reconstructions for skin cancer and facial trauma reconstructions. She has wanted to practice in Colorado since her residency training, and now splits her time between Aspen Valley Hospital and her private facial plastic surgery practice in Denver. As a native of the Midwest, it was Colorado’s sunshine that initially hooked her. The beauty of the mountains and the Roaring Fork Valley solidified her desire to live and practice in Aspen, which she describes as “a vibrant small town with amazing cultural and natural offerings.”
